Fall is just around the corner...too bad its like 80 degrees

This last tuesday we had one of two photoshoots for the fall layout for the magazine. It was so fun! We had Airika and Gerald Pope of Gerald Pope Photography again (http://geraldpope.com/), and they are always wonderful, we finally have professional models and let me tell you they were fierce! (thanks christian) we recieved our clothing for this shoot from top designers such as Oscar De La Renta and Prada, the clothing was amazing. We Shot at the Beauty Revolution Studios in Tacoma, WA, we had a lot of help on hand that day making the shoot very successful! Our two resident stylists, Sarah Davies and Guissepe Grazioli were there to give us the style know how, and boy did I learn so much from them! We were all up at the crack of dawn to get to the shoot by 7:00 am, ugh havent done that in a while haha, but it went well, we shot our cover as well as one of the editorial layouts for the fall issue of the magazine. there are pictures to follow...this upcoming tuesday we are shooting the men's shoot which I am so excited for being as though it is clothing that I would wear. It should be fun, and I think that the next magazine is going to be 10000000000 times better than before, CANT WAIT!

A light unveiled fashion show

Ugh i havent been on here in like a century or two...anyways a lot is going on both with the magazine and my life.... so tonight the wonderful gods of planning decided to have two important fashion shows on the same night, at the same time! so Susan and Janaea went to one of the fashion shows, it was at all-star fitness in seattle, while Kristina and I went to another that was at Seattle Pacific University, it was called "The light unveiled". Our show was so great, we had the oppritunity to meet a lot of great people and watch great fashions walk down the runway as well! during the event Kristina and I got to speak on stage to everyone about beauty revolution magazine and why we were at the event! it was so much fun, the coordinator of the event, Carly Holtzinger, was amazing she was such a genuine person and let her true self shine through the show, She her self had a collection in the fashion show and I absolutely loved her pieces they were so modern and edgy, my favorite one pictured above was so AMAZING...it looked as if it was made out of Vogue magazine covers, the model was blindfolded and she had a chain and lock around her waist...so cool! All of the proceeds for that night went to the boys and girls club of america which was such a great cause. Also during the event there was two extremely talented musicians who performed for us, Andrew Zook and Katie Litzenberg wowed us all with their rendition of "Somewhere over the Rainbow" as well as one of Zook's own songs. The night was utterly amazing to say the least...but now my feet hurt and im exhausted lol

This is day one of the magazine being released!!!

Well the magazine was released today and we are so excited, there is a lot going on already for the summer issue. We are meeting with Sarah Davies-The former Fashion Director of Nordstrom, on friday to go over the ideas for our summer shoots, we are so excited for the progress of the magazine and where it is going. we have some big names coming on board, i can't say names at this point but when i can believe me i will...EXCITING!!! i got the cup kozys in the mail and they are so great anybody that reads this, needs to go on to cupkozy.com and order you one...they are so cheap and do so much for the environment! Capri Suns and Beauty Revolution Magazine proofreading!

Hello everyone!

Today I got the proof of the spring issue of the magazine!!! it's looking so good i think that we have came so far from the first issue! we are getting ready for the next photoshoot for the summer issue its so exciting to see this magazine come along so well. We are starting to plan the summer photoshoots which are going to be great!!. we are still thinking that the magazine will be released on wednesday the 15th can't wait...

Day 1!!!!

Today is the first day that i start a blog! never done it before so i guess here it goes...



First off let me tell you about myself. I am the Coordinating Stylist for a Seattle based fashion magazine called Beauty Revolution. It has been by far the most fun that I have had in a while! We are doing so well, since joining the magazine in february i have seen this magazine come so far! We are getting ready to release our second issue with the tenetive release date for april 15th...its coming up so soon, So here around the Beauty Revolution office it's sooooooo busy! A few weeks ago I did my first photoshoot as the Coordinating stylist for the magazine about 3 weeks ago...it was so fun it was for the womens bridal shoot that you all will get to see in about 2 weeks, the pictures turned out sooo well and thank our models' hearts they were suffering in the freezing cold but it was so worth it. Since the photoshoot we have had so many big name people come work for the magazine and they are so wonderful and are helping guiding our magazine to places that we want to go! I recently interviewed the C.E.O of a new company that I believe will be making a huge difference not only to our magazine but to the environment as well. The company is called Cup Kozy, if you haven't heard of them you need to check them out their website is www.cupkozy.com they have created a product that in 2008 alone kept 19,000 pounds of coffee sleeves out of landfills, that to me is AMAZING!!!!! Today me and Susan Alveshere, the Editor in Chief of Beauty revolution, are in the office slaving away trying to meet all of our deadlines, so I should probably get off of here lol (I have a feeling that this whole "blog" thing will become the next facebook for me eeeek!)
